The Merritts Have Landed

Woo hoo! We both made it to Germany safe and sound. Brian arrived last week and I arrived today. There were big, fat, Christmas-y snowflakes falling as we walked out of the Munich airport. It was perfect! View from our drive from the Munich Airport to Stuttgart on the Autobahn:


We are both SO excited to be here...and I was SOOOOOO excited to see this cute guy:

Brian passed his German driver's license exam on Monday with flying colors so he's cleared in hot for driving. We hope to get a lot use out of our BMW rental while we're here. Look out Autobahn...here come the Merritts!

Holiday Road

Well it's time!

We've stored our belongings, packed a few (hundred) bags, and said our good-byes, now it's time to hit the (holiday) road. We hope you'll all join in our adventures by following our little blog.

As you all know, we're headed here:

No, not Berlin (although the UPPERCASE, bold, AND star make it hard to miss). Stuttgart, Germany will be our home away from home for the next 12 months. We're really excited for our upcoming escapades on our very own Holiday Road...although it won't be all holiday, there will be some actual work (for B) and blogging (for me).

We are definitely going to miss all of our friends and family this next year, but hope to keep in touch with everyone as much as possible. OH, and we LOVE visitors!
